They remind me most of the musical 1776 (about the signing of the Declaration of Independence), but should work well with different material (e.g., blue velvet). Now that I think about it, you could probably use the same patterns American Revolution reenactors do with maybe slight adjustments (more elaborate) and more expensive-looking cloth. I still have trouble believing that companies can charge so much just for patterns; it might be cheaper just going to a seamstress/tailor first.

I'm somewhat ashamed to say that I haven't worked any further on Armand. I might use his wig for a non-related character for Halloween, though, so I'll have to finish de-curling it a bit.

I have patterns and instructions for the shoes that I found for free online and was able to scan patterns for the sleeves and tunic from medieval costuming books borrowed from the library, but I'm still debating a bit over whether I want to try to make the whole thing myself. The velvet was expensive and I'm not sure how good of a job I can do with hand sewing, plus I still have to re-size and enlarge the patterns myself.

(I can send a zip of the patterns to you just in case any of them would be helpful, though, like I said, they're almost strictly medieval/Renaissance; if you want a cape or cloak to go with the rest of the outfit, I'm pretty sure I have a pattern at least for that.)
