Smuge-sticks are for wussies;

Will put part#04 up when I finish

I don't have pictures of my subjects for parts#04-05, since I had to throw them out asap, and I forgot to take some before I did that ^^;

Will upload each seperate part's final picture when I get back from class :P

Charcoal [vine] is what I like to work with, and I love how I can control value with it.

I have made a habit of always washing my hands at intervals when I use them for smudging. It keeps them from drying out from the charcoal, & is cuts down on the mess >.>

I've never had a problem with the oils in my hands, but it might be because I wash my hands a lot anyway. I've been using my fingers to blend since grade 9... I've never liked smudge-sticks though I have tried using them. Kleenex/tissue also works if it's a large area...

I haven't posted the pictures of the peeled eggs I drew for part#04. I'm drawing shells for part#05. Then just clean-up and sealing the media.

I use a vinyl eraser ['SpeedErase'] and a pen eraser mostly, but I do use kneaded erasers & art erasers too, I just don't like the smell of the art ones. The kneaded ones don't seem to work well when drawing on cover-stock, so I'm using vinyl ones for the egg drawings.

I think they came out very well, particularly the eggs in the upper right hand corner and the egg on the spoon. I love the shading.

I also like your hoodie, though you look like you're nearly asleep in the photo. :p

Thank-yous :3

I like the egg on the spoon, but it looks kinda small.

I love that hoodie, I've worn it 3 times this past week >.> to school once and around the house twice.

I was nearly asleep XP and I have damn poofy hair.

I am also hyper while typing tonight ^^;

Now that you mention it, the egg on the spoon does look smaller than the rest of the eggs, but seen by itself, the scale looks right.

Hee. ^^ I wish my black dragon hoodie weren't so beat up; I used to wear it all the time.

Nice work with the eggs. ^^ I'm never good at shading, so I'm really impressed.

I love using charcoal to shade, but I don't like pencil as it is too hard to get consistant.

And eggs = rawr
